Cape Cod

I went to Cape Cod this weekend with Eileen's family and another close friend. I've lived here almost 6 1/2 years, but have never been to the Cape. We stayed in Hyannis over night. I found a cool scrapbook store and a cool bead store. Even though I'm not a shopper and generally don't enjoy window shopping, it was fun to walk around the gift shops.

We made it to the beach in Chatham today, even though it was cool and windy. Everybody else was freezing, but I thought it was refreshing. However, it was so windy on the beach that the sand was blowing against our legs so much that it really hurt.

There was a functioning light house there too that belonged to the Coast Guard. I don't know if the lights show in any of my pictures, but they were on.

I will definitely go back there, off-season to avoid the crowds. The scrapbook store said they have weekend crops, so maybe I'll go down there for a weekend, or maybe a whole week next year and mix in scrapbooking with genealogy with relaxing.
