All things red (and green?)

Last night I ate my first homegrown tomatoes of the summer--they were definitely red. One of them might have even been too ripe. I took my salt shaker and ate the tomatoes over the sink like an apple. There is nothing better in the summer!

Tonight I am going to a Red Sox game, my first of this season. They're playing the Cardinals, so the uniforms should be red and white, but I think there might be some green on the field. The Red Sox will have a pre-game ceremony honoring the Celtics and I think the Red Sox will wear Celtics jerseys over their Red Sox uniform during the game. The groundspeople at Fenway put a huge shamrock in the field to honor the Celtics.

Hopefully I will make it there in time to see the pre-game ceremony. I have to leave work early to get to a Primary activity and rush from there to the Red Sox game.

How fun! I personally hate most fresh tomatoes on their own, but I do like homegrown tomatoes, especially with fresh mozzarella and basil.
