Austenland

I just finished reading this book and I absolutely love it. I usually shy away from the chick-lite stuff as I like books with more substance, but this one came highly recommended and I'm so glad I took a chance.

My favorite quote "Instinct urged her to stomp on the hope. She ignored it. She was firmly in Austenland now, she reminded herself, where hoping was allowed. Did Austen herself feel this way? Was she hopeful? Jane wondered if the unmarried writer had lived inside Austenland with close to Jane's own sensibility-amused, horrified, but in very real danger of being swept away."

If you like any of Jane Austen's books, read this book and let me know what you think.

I had to comment on this one because Shannon just happens to be my cousin! Yup, for reals. We're the same age and everything... she's a successful author of several critically-acclaimed books, and I... well, I read them. :) I have to say, I love all her books, but Austenland is definitely a favorite.
