Pearl Harbor at the Post Office

I went to the Post Office to mail a package to my soldier today. The postwoman had just returned from Pearl Harbor and was sharing her feelings about the trip with me. I have never been there, but her descriptions brought it to life to me. She said even now, almost 70 years later, black oil is still leaking from the USS Arizona where over 900 men are still buried today. She said the wall of names of men, women and children who lost their lives Dec 7, 1941 is overwhelming. Thanks to all the men and women who are serving our country today.

I was overwhelmed at the Pearl Harbor Monument. It's very eerie to look into the depths of the Harbor and see sunken ships and, indeed, oil leaking still. I have a few pictures of it if you want to see them sometime (or I guess you could do a google image search, too).

Do you know the name or any info about your soldier? That was a neat pic of Pearl Harbor. We do nned to remember how many people fought for our freedom.
