Remember these?

I had a blast back to my past when I visited my grandparents over Thanksgiving. I found these old mattresses stacked up in their storage room. I have such good memories of sleeping on these when I was a kid. Often we would sleep in the living room and Grandpa would sneak up to the window and give us all a big scare. Or we would pull them up in the play room to play house or store. They remind me of the house my grandfather was born in, which is no longer in the family. It's where they lived until I was grown, so all my memories of my mom's hometown took place when we were visiting that house and sleeping on these mattresses. I suppose they still get pulled out when the great-grandkids come to visit!

PS: if you are posting a comment, please don't name my mom's hometown or any other identifying information for privacy reasons.

Great Memories. I didn't know Grandpa and Grandma still had them. I used to sleep on them as a kid when we had company. I suppose they were made in the 60's...note the material.
