I love Craigslist

While I have been aware of Craigslist.com for quite some time, I have never used it until recently. I purchased a double-wide Papasan for $70. I love my Papasan--it's perfect for a Sunday afternoon nap or snuggling up with a book.

After my purchase, I have only used craigslist to give appliances away for free so I don't have to pay the fee to haul it to the dump. My most recent freebie give-away was a very old TV (think early 80's). It works fine but I needed the extra space (and the extra money saved by canceling cable). I wasn't very hopeful anybody would want such an old TV, even if it was free, but I did get a bite. A Chinese guy came to pick it up last night. He just moved here four months ago and is living with an American family. His English was quite good. He was so thankful for this very old TV that he asked me to call him if I ever needed anything. He even bowed while saying good-bye. How sweet is that?

How neat! I love respect like that is those cultures! And, don't you love it when somebody really appreciates something!

How nice to have a little more space and make someone else happy.
