A plea from your digital camera

I read this article a couple of days ago and put on my family historian/preservationist hat. Digital cameras are awesome in that we can take so many pictures and then store them on our computer. Yet what are we missing by not printing some of them out and putting them into albums? There is something about looking at a photograph that cannot be replicated by looking at a digital version, just like the art of picture taking has become less of an art for the average person, because we can always take it again if we didn't like the way it turned out the first time. I love my digital camera, but I am excited to hang some of my photos on my office wall so that I can be reminded of the joy of picture taking and enjoy the photo itself, free of the computer.

True, just like e-mail is taking the place of hand written letters.
There are advantages of the old and the new.

That's a good reminder. I haven't printed pictures in months and months. Nor have I scrapbooked in even more months. I am so behind--ack! But I love the idea of having more current pictures up around the house.
