Longfellow Park church burns

The church where I worshiped for first several years I lived in Boston was destroyed by fire today. Congregants of the three singles wards in our area were in the building for church services when the blaze started. No injuries were reported, but the church building is completely destroyed according to boston.com

This church has been around for 50 years and many, many church leaders attended church here when they were studying at Harvard or other local schools. Most of the LDS community in the area also have ties here, whether they attended church here or attended activities and concerts in this building. My own family attended church here when they came to visit me for a family reunion a few years back. I'm sorry to see this beautiful building with so many memories go up in flames.

It really is heartbreaking. I hope we're able to rebuild quickly.
So glad everyone is safe!

It is really sad. I think we have the Longfellow ward recipe book with pictures of the building.
