Great Author

I accidentally stumbled across a series of books that are quickly becoming a favorite. Jennifer Chiaverini's quilting books seamlessly weave quilting into the story of the Bergstrom family, their friends and the Civil War. Some books are set entirely in the past, many are set in present-day with flashbacks to days gone by. My favorites have to do with the role of the quilts and the Bergstrom family and their neighbors in the Underground Railroad movement. I don't know anything about quilting, but was totally drawn in nonetheless. The first book I read in the series was "Runaway Quilt." If you are at all interested in the Underground Railroad I recommend you start with this book, even tho it's in the middle of the series. Highly recommended.

Those look very good - I'll have to look into them. My favorite is historical fiction, so this would be awesome!
