Getting ready for the New Year

I was very busy today getting ready for the new year. I cleaned and did laundry and did dishes. Baked bread and roasted veggies. This is the first time I have tried to make bread by myself in years. It turned out very well!
I was crafty and completed my "Good things in 2013" jar to record all the good things that happened to me. I finally got my earrings set up. I saw this several years ago and have always wanted to have my own version. Thanks to Lee LaPierre for attaching the mesh wire. Doesn't it look beautiful? Now I need to figure out how to set up the other frame for necklaces. Doesn't it look nice?

I have some very cool earrings, some of which I made myself. You might be able to see them better here against a white background.

My sister sent me this door hanging for Christmas. It needed a bit of extra glue before hanging on my door.
I swapped out my December pillowcase for the January pillowcase that my niece made. It's flannel and I love the penguins. It's pretty cold here, so this is perfect.
I took down my Christmas decorations and put up my winter decor.
Not to mention updating some blogs, writing and addressing my Christmas cards, updating my 2013 calendars with birthdays.
I think this sets a good precedent for 2013.
