My 11 year old niece (in the pink shirt) sent me an email yesterday proclaiming she was taller than me. They went to the science museum in their area and measured their height in the health area. She's 5'4''. What does that say about me? I'm really short! I'm only 5' 3.5'' (and that 1/2 inch is important--even at my age). The funny thing is that two of my other sisters are my exact height, so K's already taller than 1/2 of her aunts on her mom's side.I was the tallest in my class when I was her age too, but then I stopped growing shortly after that. The weird thing is that after years of not growing at all, I grew another couple of inches in my early 20's.

She's pretty excited about how much she has grown. She just handed down 6 pair of jeans to her younger sister because she grew out of them.
