Trip to Utah part I

I just got home from a fabulous vacation. I went to Utah to visit family, and it's one of the most perfect vacations I have ever had. I got to see so many people and had just the right mix of being laid back and getting out and doing something.

I started out by staying with my mom's Aunt Marilyn (left) and cousin Loretta (middle) in the Salt Lake area (my mom's on the right). I flew in on a Friday night and we just took it easy. Aunt Marilyn is the one who holds all the Ison genealogy books, so I spent some time on Saturday going through them and taking many pictures of various pages/documents to print out later at home. In fact, I took so many that I needed to go buy a new memory card for my camera.

Saturday night Loretta and I went to a Bees game (minor league). I love minor league games. There are plenty of minor league teams where I live, but somehow I never make it to a game. I need to rectify that. I especially loved the view of the mountains. I'm a mountain girl at heart and really miss the mountains.

As twilight set in I enjoyed watching the mountains become "purple"

We were just in Utah too, over the 4th of July. It would have been so fun to bump into each other!

It would have been really fun! I love keeping up with you on your blog. Are you or Erik going to JSM in Vancouver this year? If so, let's get together.

How is being RS president going?
